A Letter From Our Pastor

Dear Church Family,

What an exciting time of year this is!  Winter is almost over and Spring is on it's way.  While I'm not a big fan of Summer (with the heat and humidity, mosquitoes, wasps, etc.), I am a fan of Spring.  The grass is already greening up, flowers are blooming and new life is beginning.  This serves as a reminder to us that even when things seem dark, gloomy and dead, God is just waiting to do something new in our lives.  He will take the apparently dead and lifeless and give it new life.  Let us all strive to grow to our full potential and  allow God to work in our lives fully to bring about change in this old dark and dying world.

As we go into this Easter season, let us take this as an opportunity to invite people to church so that they can hear the gospel and be saved.  This is what we have been commanded to do.  Matthew 28:19-22 tells us to go to all nations and share the gospel.

Let me take this time to highlight some upcoming events:  our foot washing service will be on Thursday, April 2 at 6:30 pm; our Easter egg hunt will be on Saturday, April 4 from 10 a.m. until 1:00 pm; Sunrise Service will be on Sunday, April 5 at 7:00 am (followed by breakfast) and don’t forget all the delicious desserts and tasty treats at the Benevolent Committee Easter Bake Sale before and after regular morning service and remember, no evening service that day; National Day of Prayer is coming up on Thursday, May 7; Ladies PJ Party (ages 20 & up) at my house on Friday, May 8 at 6:30 pm; and last but certainly not least, Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10. Please take the time to let your mom know how special she is and how much she means to you.

Let me close by saying that I love each and every one of you and thank you for all that you do.

In Christ's love,

Pastor Bo
