A Letter From Our Pastor

Dear Church Family,
It’s hard to believe it is Easter already. As we celebrate a risen Savior, it’s important to keep our thoughts on the significance of the holiday. While the kids love the Easter egg hunts, candies and brightly colored baskets, we should be focused and excited on a risen Savior who gives us life. Speaking of life, our church is full of activities and happenings. I’d like to remind you of the many events going on this spring. Starting with the Passover meal; this is a meal designed to help you better understand the holiday, first observed by the Jews and now as Christians. Please let Bobbie know if you plan to attend.

Of course, I’d like to encourage you to come to sunrise service Easter morning at 7:30 a.m. It’s a celebration of our risen Savior with breakfast following. Please sign up so we know how much food to prepare. We’ll have 9:30 Sunday school, 10:30 service, along with Bobbie and the choir’s cantata. Ladies don’t forget to wear Easter bonnets or hats.

We also have an adult only trip April 13th to the Jim Bowie Relay Station. There is much to see with old schools, houses, tools and regional history.  Of course there is lots of great food and gospel music to enjoy. Plus you get to ride on the bus, which is well worth the free admission fee! The only cost will be your meal. Spend as little or as much as you would like. They have sandwiches, steaks, seafood platters, etc.

Let me close by saying we are a very busy church and how good it is to spend time and fellowship together. I think it pleases our Lord when we enjoy each other. Check out our calendar for other events. I love you each and every one.  I look forward and am excited about the prospects we have for our ministry.

In Christ's Love,

Brother Bo
