At the writing of this letter Traci, Bobbie and myself are going to the National Camp Meeting in Anderson, Indiana. They will be honoring Brother Steve on Tuesday, June 26th.
It’s hard to believe it’s been a year next month since he passed away. I think of him everyday, talk of him often and miss him dearly. I know the rest of you do as well. He had such an impact on me. I list him among the most influential men in my life. My father, grandfather, Wallis Martin (who helped lead me to Christ) and Brother Steve (who helped bring me into the ministry) have influenced me greatly.
I think it’s important that we remember people who impact us in a positive way. We should try to have that same level of positive influence on people around us as well. It’s important to remember that we have an impact on people, whether we intend to or not. We must continually strive to make sure we are a positive instead of a negative influence. Brother Steve was always a positive influence.
Let me close by saying I appreciate everyone in our Church family. Thank you for all you do to expand God’s Kingdom.
