Where has the year gone? I cannot believe that December is already here. It seems like we were just talking about and planning for Fall Festival!
This month is a busy month in the life of our children and youth ministries. We kick off December with a concert in Jackson at 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 1 for our youth group. TobyMac, Mandisa, Jamie Grace, Britt Nicole, Brandon Heath, Chris August, and Group 1 Crew will be taking the stage. We’re looking forward to a fantastic time with our youth.
Our Children’s Christmas Program will be in the old sanctuary at 6:30pm on Sunday, December 16. Please come out and support our children as they bless us with singing!
The Youth Christmas Party will be in the youth room at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, December 19. Please note the time change as we’ll be starting an hour earlier.
Finally, our youth will be attending the Mississippi State Youth Convention at the Hilton in Jackson on Sunday, December 30 through Tuesday, January 1. The cost is $99.00. Registration packets will be sent home Sunday, December 2 and must be returned no later than Wednesday, December 12.
In closing, I want to encourage you all to continue to remember our children and youth in prayer. In addition to the ten areas mentioned in the past two letters, please pray specifically for State Youth Convention. Pray that God shows up in a mighty way, that lives would be changed, and that life-long commitments would be made.
