A Letter From Our Associate Pastor Of Youth

Dear Church Family,

Happy New Year!  First and foremost, I wanted to thank each of you for the Christmas gifts, cards, and treats that you gave.  It is both heartwarming and humbling to know that you are truly loved.  Thank you for your love and support.

As mentioned in last month’s letter, the Mississippi State Youth Convention was held in Jackson at the end of December/first of January.  It was an awesome time of worship, service, and fellowship with Church of God youth across the state.  Thank you for your specific prayers as our youth responded to the Holy Spirit by making new commitments to Christ.  I ask now for your continued prayers for our youth who made decisions.

January is somewhat of a slow month as we “recover” from last month’s events.  We will have a Youth Movie Night on Wednesday, January 30.  All youth are to be at the church at 5:30pm for pizza.  The pace picks back up beginning February 1.  We will have a Youth Lock-In on Friday, February 1 at the church and our Annual Airsoft War will be the following day; Saturday, February 2 at Brother Bo’s house.  I wanted to make sure to mention these two events in this month’s contact as they occur so early next month.  We will be sending additional information home a little later this month.

In closing, I wanted to again thank you all for allowing us to serve.  We are looking forward to a fantastic new year.
