A Letter From Our Pastor

Dear Church Family,

I’d like to apologize for our Contact being late this month.  Ms Sheila asked about the Pastor’s Letter but I let more pressing ministering matters take my time.

It’s hard to believe that in less than two months we will be into 2014.  Time really does fly as we grow older.  When I was a child, it seemed like the year was forever long.  I was asked one time when I was teaching why adults said that a year is not very long.  But to the kids, it seems like an eternity.  I came up with a very simple answer.  I told the young lady that the year was one-thirteenth of her life.  But for me, it was one-thirty-fifth.  It’s just simple math.  The younger you are, the greater a year is to your lifespan.

So as you grow older and the holidays seem to come every other week, take time to thank God for the years that you’ve had.  Reflect back on all of the things that you have to be thankful for.  God has truly blessed us each and every one simply because we were born in America.  You see, even the poorest person here has a standard of living higher than most of the rest of the world.  With an average annual income of $34,000, you would be among the top 4% of the wealthiest people in the world.  When you look at it like that, how can you not drop to your knees and give God thanks? So as we celebrate Thanksgiving this month, take time away from family, turkey, dressing, deer hunting, football, etc. to get on your face before God and thank Him for His goodness.  Praying that God continues to bless each and every one of you.

Love you much,

Brother Bo
