Let me begin by saying “Thank you!” As a result of your hard work, time, donations, and sacrifice, our Fall Festival was once again a huge success! In fact, it was the best Fall Festival we’ve had in terms of attendance and money raised! You all have made it possible for several of our youth to be fully funded for our trip to International Youth Convention (IYC2014).
Speaking of IYC2014, let me take this time to remind you once again about our attendance requirements (See September’s Contact). In order to clear up any confusion about what is required, we have moved the start date from September 1st to November 3rd. Beginning November 3rd, we will be tracking our youth attendance. There are roughly 140 services (Sunday school, morning worship, evening worship, and Wednesday night) between 11/3 and 7/2. We are requiring their attendance to 70 or 50% of the services. We are also asking that they attend State Youth Convention as well as meet fundraising goals and deadlines. For those students who have been attending faithfully since September 1st, they will still get credit for those days. I have handed out these requirements to our youth in a “contract” form. They are to be signed and returned to me to put on file. They will also be available on the tables in the back of the sanctuary.
