A Letter From Our Pastor

Dear Church Family,

It is hard to believe that it's already August!  The kids are getting ready to go back to school and families are trying to get those last few vacation days in before the school year starts.  While all of this activity and preparation make us very busy, there is something comforting about being in a routine.  What I mean is that when the kids go back to school, it is easier for us to organize our week.  When our children have too much free time, we tend to have to entertain them.
I think that there is a lesson to be learned from summer vacation.  When we as God's children don't have a routine to follow or have too much time on our hands, we tend to get in trouble while looking to be entertained.  It is my belief that God designed us to work and to do meaningful things to keep us busy.  Even in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15), we see that God instructed Adam to work and care for the garden.  In the same way our Father God wants us to be busy, not just in our daily lives and in our vocations, but busy on our Kingdom work (work of the church).
So let me close by challenging you to look around when you find that you have some time on your hands.  You will find that there is plenty to do.  Choose something to do for God and do it well.  Let us teach our children and youth the same thing.  We'll all discover that there is no time to get in trouble.

Love You All,
Brother Bo
