A Letter From Our Associate Pastor Of Youth

Dear Church Family,

Happy New Year!  Can you believe that we are already starting a new year?  Last year absolutely flew by!  I can’t wait to see how God moves this year in the lives of our children and youth and how He uses our church to impact our community.

January will be a rather slow month which should give us all some much needed rest.  Make sure to take advantage of this down time by drawing closer to God.  Spend extra time with Him during your quiet times.  Take more time to read and study and especially to pray.  Let’s start 2015 off on the right track by making it a priority to spend quiet time with God.

During these quiet times with the Lord, pray specifically for our community and for ways that we as a church can engage it.  Just look around our city!  I’m reminded of Matthew 9:38 - “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”  Pray for ways in which we can engage our community and lead people to Christ. Also, ask God to reveal areas where you can get plugged in to the church and begin serving here.  Ask Him to reveal a ministry to you or to confirm what He’s already asked you to do.  Ask for wisdom and discernment.  Then, serve Him wholeheartedly!  If you are already faithfully serving, ask God to raise up workers to help you.

Let’s commit to spending more time in prayer, in study, and in service this new year and let’s impact our community for Christ!

Pray continually, pray for revival, seek hard after God.

Love you guys,

Robert
