A Letter From Our Pastor

Dear Church Family,

It’s hard tp believe it’s August already.  Where has the year gone since the passing of my  good friend and beloved pastor.  This past year is kind of a blur.  Like myself, I know all of you think of Brother Steve almost every day.   Sometimes laughing, other times crying and many times both., almost at once.  I ask you to continue to pray for Bobbie, Ashleigh, Bryant, yourselves and our church family. Collectively, we will push through these difficult times together and reach the point in which there will be few tears, leaving only laughter and smiles when we talk about him.
I learned many things from Steve about the ministry.  The most important thing I learned was how to have faith, even when it feels like God isn’t listening.  Throughout his illness, he prayed and we prayed for healing that didn’t come.  Although he may have wondered what God was doing or how God was using his illness, he was never bitter or blamed God.

We know that Romans 8:28 says: “In all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”  That being said, God doesn’t cause bad things but He works through these things.  God used Steve because of the example he set.  During this time, we baptized over 25 people in the 2 years he was ill.  Many others rededicated their lives because of him.  As we look at that scripture passage, we can see how God used Steve.

Let me close by saying I love each and every one of you.

In Christ Love,

Brother Bo
