Can you believe October is already here? As advertised in last month’s letter to you guys, we will have our annual “Fall Festival” on Wednesday, October 31st from 6:00 – 9:00pm. Our theme will be Veggie Tales with an emphasis on how to handle fear. We’ll have all of the usual activities (cake walk, concession stand, jumpers, and booths) with a new “movie theater” activity this year.
A basket will be set up in the foyer just outside of the old sanctuary for your wrapped candy donations. We will also have a list of food items needed for the concession stand on a clipboard in the back of the sanctuary. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Work will be ongoing throughout the month with a big push to setup beginning on Monday, October 29. This is a fantastic opportunity to minister to the children in our area and to provide a safe alternative for them this Halloween.
I would also like to challenge you to pray for our children and youth. The following list was developed by Pastor Marshall Stokes and we have been using it daily in some form or fashion since obtaining it. I felt the need to share it with you all. Please pray that:
1. They know Christ as Savior.
2. They will hate sin.3. They will be protected from the evil one.
4. They will have a responsible attitude.
5. They will respect authority.
6. They will have the right mate.
7. They will have a desire for the right kind of friends.
8. They will submit to God’s leadership.
9. They will stand for the truth.
10. They will be sold out to God.
Thank you in advance for your prayers for our children and youth in these specific areas.
