A Letter From Our Associate Pastor Of Youth

Dear Church Family,

March will be a quiet month, almost the calm before the storm so to speak as the whirlwind of summer activities start ramping up next month.  Weather permitting; we will have another Airsoft War at Brother Bo’s house sometime this month.  Stay tuned!  Also, we’re continuing to make preparations for IYC2014.  Keep an eye out for paperwork being sent home with our students.  Preconvention T-shirt orders are due on March 21st.  Waivers are due ASAP.

Now, I would like to spend the rest of this letter talking about and bragging on our students.  The struggles and trials that some of them face are almost overwhelming.  Their day-in and day-out life is so foreign to most of us that we couldn’t even begin to fathom the hardships that they face.   Most of our youth come without parental involvement, meaning they have no parent or guardian in church.  They come on their own because they want to be here.  They could be so many other places but they choose to be here.  They want to break the proverbial cycle and they know that Christ is their way out.  They are becoming young men and women of God and I’m so very proud of them!  I’m thankful that God has placed them in my life.

In closing, let me echo my last sermon;  please continue to remember them in prayer.  Reach out to them in love every chance you get!  Engage their battle on your knees.  Pray without ceasing and when you think you’ve prayed enough, pray some more.

In Christ,

Robert
