Dear Church Family,
Easter is upon us already! This is one of my favorite times of the year. We remember our Lord and Savior and His ultimate sacrifice and rejoice in His victory over death and the grave. Because of His death and resurrection, we can have eternal life and a right relationship with God the Father. We should be living each day with that truth in the forefront of our minds. Thank you God for your amazing grace! May we never cheapen it.
The month of April will be a very exciting and busy time for our children and youth ministries. Our children kick off this month’s activities with our annual Easter egg hunt. The hunt will be April 19th from 10:00am to 1:00pm for infants through age nine. Similar to last year, we will be sending the children out in three separate age groups to hunt eggs in three predetermined areas based on their ages. This is done for safety and to allow each child a fair shot at finding eggs. It also allows for ample opportunity for pictures! Please have your child bring a basket and twelve candy-filled eggs.
It almost seems too early to mention Summer Camps but Adventure Camp for students who have completed 3rd – 5th grades will be June 3rd through June 6th! I mention that now because the early-bird registration is due by April 21st. The cost is $135. Registration forms are in my office.
This month’s activities will conclude with State Youth Convention at the Hilton in Jackson on April 25th – 27th for our Jr. High and Sr. High students. The theme this year is: “Epic – Empowering your Personal Identity in Christ.” The cost is $115. Registration forms are in my office.
Let me close by telling you all how much I love and appreciate you and everything that you do for our church and for our children and youth ministries. May God bless you!
In Christ,
Robert
